We are FIL-AM couple living in Hagerstown MD. USA. We are happily married for 7 years. Our passions are computers and food. We love to spend time together. It is nice to spend your life with your best friend exploring the world around us.
Today, we had no adventure, my main mission is to fold all our clothes as I have been sitting in front of my computer for many weeks. I didn't realized we had so much clothes and believe me I spent the entire day folding. I am also a very good shopper I purchased a lot of clothes lately which made our closet over flowing. Of course most of the clothes I will send home but for now I have to fold them. What a day!!!!
Good night everyone!!
This clip is spectacular. South American Glacier. The Perito
Moreno glacier breaks up every four years like clock work, give or take a
week. There are photographers from the four corners of the earth that
come to southern Argentina and literally camp out at the glacier site in order
to get the actual breakup on film. The individual who got this filming
did a marvelous job. This is something your children and grand children will
truly love to see.
A mom was concerned about her kindergarten son walking
to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She
wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence,
but yet know that he was safe.
So she came up with an idea of how to handle it.
She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him
to school in the mornings, staying at a distance,
so that he probably wouldn't notice her.
The neighbor said that since she was up early with
her toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them
to get some exercise as well, so she agreed.
The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl
set out following behind Jimmy as he walked to school \
with another neighbor boy he knew. She did this for the whole week.
As the boys walked and chatted, kicking stones and
twigs, Jimmy's little friend noticed the same lady was
following them as she seemed to do every day all week.
Finally he said to Jimmy, "Have you noticed that
lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?"
Jimmy nonchalantly replied, "Yeah, I know who she is."
The friend said, "Well, who is she?"
"That's just Shirley Goodnest," Jimmy replied, "and
her daughter Marcy."
Who the heck is she and why is she following us? "
"Well," Jimmy explained, "every night my Mom makes
me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she
worries about me so much. And in the Psalm,
'Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the
days of my life', so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!"
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His
face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you;
the Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you peace.
May Shirley Goodnest and Marcy be with you today and
always.... it says,
Ok so I have not posted on this blog for a long time. I wanted to try and make more of an effort to keep the Blog with informative post. The last restaurant we ate was the Ruby Tuesday there on Weasel Blvd. It is one of our favorite restaurant. The food is good with lots of nice flavors in their dishes but you can tell the menu is put together with little creativity from the local Chef. I mean the recipes are not simple but it is like the ingredients come in packages and put together by following step by step directions on site, though the ingredients are very fresh. Like a very fancy McDonald's. We always like the fish dishes they have and I usually either get the Hamburgers or the ribs. The feature that makes it my favorite is the Salad Bar. They have a nice Salad Bar with all fresh stuff. So you can pile a plate high with good tasting veggies. They also have a nice bar with a decent selection on Tap. I like to get the seasonal Sam Adams on Tap.
This is a past due post. During our trip back on March 16th to visit the Washington Mall (not a shopping mall but a lawn between the Washington Monument and the capital building.) We stopped by Sala Thai restaurants. I am not sure how we got their because I was a little bit lost. We back tracked as we passed by. It took us a bit to find parking close by because it is a very urban area. They had paid parking in front of the store but we did not want to pay. The driving around to find a parking place was well worth the effort though. The menu was very much Thai. The ingredients were very fresh. We ordered a wide selection of dishes since Isaac was with us we tried to find a dish he liked. We ordered some soups and I know Isaac ordered the Drunken Noodle, Lemon Grass soup with chicken and Green curry chicken along with a several bowls of rice. It was eclectic and we all shared the dishes. The flavors were very nice and I can not say what was my favorite. I do know one thing I want to go back so I can try some more items on the menu. I am sure there are some real treasures.
